David Dreistadt Obituary

David A. Dreistadt, 58, of Ligonier, died Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born August 31, 1965 in Greensburg, a son of the late John E. and Marianne (Laudadio) Dreistadt.  He was a machinist and also worked at several local restaurants and bars.  Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, Pittsburgh sports teams, muscle cars and music.  He treasured his memories made at the “Hi Haven Camp”.  David loved his family and made many friends over the years.  He always had a positive attitude and a smile for everyone.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel E. Dreistadt and his grandparents, Peter L. Sr. and Gladys (Davis) Dreistadt and George and Carrie (Rause) Laudadio.  He is survived by his sister, Sharon Snyder (Jeffrey), nephew, Brandon Snyder (Dan), niece, Brooke Tutino (Alex), sister-in-law, Tammy Dreistadt, several aunts, uncles and cousins and special friends, Parker “Sangy” Foster and Gina Hoyle.  He will be laid to rest at Pleasant Unity Methodist Cemetery, Unity Township.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  The family suggests memorial donations be sent to the funeral home for expenses.  As David always said “Peace Out” meaning “I wish you peace, goodbye”.  LEO M.
