Patricia McCabe Obituary

Patricia A. McCabe, 83, of Southwest Greensburg, died Saturday, August 23, 2025, in UPMC East, Monroeville. She was born on April 17, 1942, in North Braddock, a daughter of the late Wilbert D. and Eleanor (Conroy) Jordan.  Pat was a member of Middle Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant where she served as a deacon. She was a liver transplant survivor and organ donation was extremely meaningful to her. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald W. McCabe, who died on March 5, 2025. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Franciscus (Roy).  She is survived by three children, Mary Pat Thornton (John), Kevin McCabe (Marci), and Donna Lynn Thornton (Thom); seven grandchildren, Matthew Thornton (Laura), Megan Stokes (Ryan), Joshua, Aubrelyn, Eric, and Shane Thornton, and Ryan McCabe; and sister, Joanne Bakin (Mike). Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Elisabeth Shelton Hartwell officiating. Interment will follow in Middle Presbyterian Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Golden Heights Personal Care Home, Irwin for their kind and compassionate care.
